Overview

This webinar will draw the landscape of observational studies. Participants will gain insights into nuances on data management of Observational studies and designing data collection tools to maximize data quality, while acknowledging level of investigator and site expertise. In addition, fit for purpose EDC solutions on Observational studies will be presented.

 
Learning Objectives

By attending this webinar:
• Attendees will appreciate the different data management concepts for observational and late phase studies.
• Attendees will be able to understand the requirement of close collaboration between epidemiologists, data managers and biostatistics for late phase studies
• Attendees will be able to define the key steps in defining data elements, CRF design, Edit check definition, defining data cleaning strategy and handling missing data in observational studies.
• Attendees will be given examples of creative data elements, CRF designs, edit checks and dealing with late phase data will be shared with attendees.

Meet the Instructor

Arshad Mohammed, Senior Director, Data Sciences, QuintilesIMS

Dr. Arshad is a Physician with over 20 years’ experience in the health sciences industry. His career path has been in Acute Patient Care at a Tertiary Care Center, Medical Affairs, Medico-marketing and in development of India’s First Web Based Clinical Trials System in year 2000, followed by Life Sciences Consulting, Software Product Management and finally Clinical Data Management. Arshad joined Quintiles Clinical Data Management in January 2008 and has managed CDM teams for early development, late phase and observational studies space.

Earn CEUs

Participants are eligible to receive CEUs upon attendance and successful completion of a web-based assessment within 30 days after the webinar. CEUs are not granted after the 30-day assesment deadline.
SCDM is authorized by IACET to offer 0.2 CEUs for this program.
