Over just the past 20 years, technology has changed the way we do studies and the volume and kinds of data that we have available to us. The so-called Fourth Industrial Revolution will bring together digital, physical and biological systems creating opportunities in data science that we may not even imagine today.
This webinar will briefly explore the history of how technology has affected the discipline of clinical data management and briefly discuss how we should adapt to change.

This informational webinar is intended for all levels of clinical data management staff and other support functions. Meet the Presenter
Shannon Labout, CCDM

Shannon Labout is an executive and board leader with more than two decades providing visionary, strategic and operational leadership to international teams. Her areas of focus have been mentoring individual team members, implementing and managing healthcare and research technologies, and providing thought leadership on best practices in clinical data management and standards implementation for industry, regulators and academia in multiple therapeutic areas of drug and medical device research.
In her current dual role as Interim Chief Standards Officer and Vice President of Education for CDISC, Shannon leads the global teams that develop CDISC data standards, and who develop and deliver the authorized global CDISC education and training programs. Continuing her work as a CDISC volunteer since 2006 and an authorized instructor since 2007 Shannon currently participates on the CDASH team, and teaches CDASH, SDTM, and a “Beginning to End” standards course developed for academic research organizations.
As an SCDM member and volunteer since 1999 Shannon has been involved in many different SCDM activities, including being an item writer for the CCDM exam v2, developing and delivering an online course in CRF design, presenting webinars on both data management and CDISC topics, and contributing to several GCDMP chapters, the eSource White paper, and other SCDM publications such as Data Basics. She has maintained her CCDM status continuously since 2004, and is the 2018 Chair on the SCDM Board of Trustees.
