Overview

This webinar in the Certification Sequence will address query resolution, query tracking, CRF data entry process and discrepancy resolution, and CRF data validation including data review, cleaning, query generation and applying data handling conventions.

Target Audience

Clinical data managers, managers of data groups, quality control and quality assurance statisticians, biostatisticians, and project managers working within the clinical trials industry. CDMs preparing to take the CCDM exam and others who are interested in developing their knowledge base in this area will find this series of great value.

Presenters:

Petrolene le Roux
Based in Bloemfontein, South Africa, Petrolene le Roux joined Quintiles 7 years ago with over 10 years of experience in the clinical field.   She graduated from the University of the Free State with a Nursing Degree and started her career as a Registered Nurse in a Trauma Unit with significant experience in advance trauma life support and cardiac life support.  During this time, she completed the ACLS from the American Heart Association, Post-Basic Certificate Course in Pharmacology and completed her MBA last year, with electives in Risk Management, Project Management, New Venture, Research Methodology at the University of the Free State.  She is a Certified Clinical Data Manager and currently serves as a Functional Service Provider Manager within one of the largest CRO companies.

Shera Weyers
Shera Weyers has been within the Data Management CRO industry for over 5 years. She currently serves as a Manager of Clinical Data Management. She has experience across Europe, South Africa and America, various phases and various therapeutic areas. Shera received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Physiology after which she obtained her Honours and Masters Degree in Pharmacology in 2004.

Tanya du Plessis
Tanya du Plessis is currently a team lead within data management for a CRO. She has been involved in a number of multi-center multi-national trials, which stretch across various phases and therapeutic areas.  Tanya completed her Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc) in genetics and human physiology. Her post graduate studies included a honours in molecular genetics (B.Sc.Hons) and Masters in medical science (M.Med.Sc) specializing in haematology and cell biology.
